Philippines celebrates the National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme “Kahandhaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa tunay na Pagbabago”. Filipinos are really resilient we are always ready and bravely face this natural disasters and calamities that struck our home Philippines.
Being prepared means being ready for what may happen and may occur. And it has been an essential for every Filipino because Philippines is in the Pacific ring of fire which means that we have many active volcanoes in our countries and can also trigger more earthquakes that usual, it is also beside the pacific west basin which means Philippines experience 20 or more typhoons a year, in short the Philippines is a Disaster prone country. But why is the Philippines continues to grow as a country? That’s because Filipinos are resilient, we always come prepared and that is because Philippines have these government facilities and agencies that helps the people and educate the people of the Philippines in this aspects.
People of the Philippines before are really irresponsible when it comes to being prepared in this natural disasters but with all this DRRM which conducts the National Disaster Resilience Month that aims to inform all the Filipinos about disaster preparedness and other calamity related aspects.
