FREEDOMINATED

First of all, what is independence? Independence for me is self-government or being free and to do the things you wanted to do without any help or supervision. Second, is Philippines really independent? After those 333 years of colonization of Spain, 48 years from the Americans and 3 years from the Japanese. We’ve been colonized by these countries and already declared independence but are we really independent?
June 12, 1898 was the first declaration of independence from the Spaniards. This was the time that all the Filipino’s sufferings were ended. But declaring the independence again followed by the colonization of the Japanese people which limited the freedom of all the Filipinos, after this the Americans fought the Japanese and became the leaders of the Philippines until this Americans set us free and became independent for the second time.
We Filipinos already declared independence 2 times but why does Philippines still is under control of other world leaders? Why do Philippine leaders still depend on other world leaders? Philippines are still not that independent specially on government aspects. Other higher states still dictate  what our country should do, we still cant decide on our own. Is that really independence?
