STRESSED YET BLESSED

During this second period, I learned many things. I further deepened my profound knowledge on computers. I made new friends. I met new people. Generally, the second grading period was in many ways like the first grading. There were labors and hardships, but I was able to trounce them and remain victorious. The second storm now has passed, see you again in the third tumultuous deluge

OUR TEACHERS OUR STARS

Sometimes we forget the impact that we have as teachers. Schools are busy places, and teachers are busy people, so it’s not surprising that sometimes we miss out on chances to stop and reflect upon the influence that we wield over the young people in our care. Often, it’s the little conversations, the easily-forgotten asides, the friendly smile or brief compliment that mean the most to young people – and while we might forget them by the time it comes to write the next report or plan the next lesson, those words can remain with a young person for a very long time, shaping their personality and their thoughts.

We had lots of arguments, at the start. I remember being kept in at lunch a lot. And despite my yelling and threats – even tears once or twice – I remember you never lost your temper. You were always patient with me. You always took the time to listen to me, whenever I wanted to be heard.

I look back upon that time as so important in the development of the person that I am today. You taught me discipline. You taught me dignity. Much more than English, which was what you were supposedly teaching me, you taught me that I could achieve more than what I or other people thought that I was capable of. I could be a success, instead of a clown. For that lesson, I owe you so much.

TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

Generally, it achieves these bunyanesque ordeals through the incorporation of a multiple-staged module. The entire program opened up with the march of all of the athletes (the color of their shirts determining the grade level they’re in), chaperoned by a twain of muses making up the two gender-based system (Gretchen Diaz get out of here). Preceding this event was the gritty stomping and subsequent traipsing of molasses-hued boots; provided by the CAT. After that, a prosaic program with the usual greetings and aristocratic jargon befell; a “blazing” happenchance that betided during this affair was the lighting of the torch; and the raising of flags section also deserves a “hoist” of appreciation. After that, it went on like your usual INTRAMURALS. Zumba dances here, heatstroke victims there, and sportsmanship everywhere.

SCIENCE MONTH IS OUR MONTH!

Modern civilization is the gift of modern science night we make use of innumerable discoveries and invention of science. Image result for Tesla tower pictures Electricity is the great power behind many scientific inventions. The electric lam lights up our houses. Radio, television, telegraph, telephone, cinema, tape-recorder, photo-copier, VCR, computers and most of the mills and factories are run by electricity.

There are also electric trains, printing press, cookers, irons, sewing machines etc. run by electricity. Science has conquered space and time. We can go from one place to another place in a very short time by train steamer, plane or rocket. We have reached the moon. We can now send messages to a great distance in a second. We can talk to anybody in any part of the world by mobile phone. Radio brings songs, music, news, discussion etc. Television brings pictures also even in color. By FAX, any writing or picture can be sent over great distance very easily. Internet is yet another wonder of modern science. Spinning of yarn, weaving of cloth and sewing of cloths can be done at a great speed. Food processing, house-building, constructing roads and bridge can be done very quickly. Millions of pages can be printed or reproduced in a short time.

A calculator can solve complicated sum in no time. Science has discovered the causes of most of the diseases and their remedies. A deadly disease like TB has been conquered. Cholera has also been brought under control. Small pox has been eliminated. The X-ray and the antibiotic have been very helpful to man. Cornea transplant, by-pass surgery etc. are marvels of medical science. Science has increased food production greatly. If we can apply the scientific methods properly, there will be no hunger in the world. Tractors, power-pumps, fertilizer, high-yielding varieties of crops and irrigation techniques have revolutionized agriculture. Image result for Red TerrorBut science is not an unmixed blessing. Science has also invented guns, bombs and missiles, battleships and war planes, chemical weapons and nuclear war heads. To speak the truth science has both blessing and curse.
